Mayak Eggs
Ingredients
- 12 eggs
- 1/2 diced onion
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- 2 stalks diced green onion
- 1/4 cup water
- 8 tbsp soy sauce
- 5 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 tsp msg
Instructions
- Add pinch of salt and splash vinegar to water in pot.
- Bring pot to boil.
- Add eggs one at a time.
- Boil eggs uncovered for 6 minutes and 30 seconds.
- Stir eggs gently around 3 minutes and 5 minutes.
- Place eggs in ice bath.
- Place eggs in storage container.
- Combine 1/2 diced onion, 3 minced garlic cloves, 2 diced green onion stalks, 1/4 cup water, 8 tbsp soy sauce, 5 tbsp honey, 2 tbsp dark soy sauce, 2 tbsp sesame seeds and 1 tsp msg.
- Pour sauce over eggs.
- Place paper towel over eggs before shutting lid.
- Let soak for multiple days, ideally a week.
Notes
Mayak sauce can be used for two batches of eggs.
