
Honey Pecan Shrimp
Ingredients
Breaded Shrimp
- 1 lb shrimp
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
Honey Pecan Sauce
- 3/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup crushed pecans
- 4 tbsp heavy whipping cream
- 2 tsp rice vinegar
Instructions
Breaded Shrimp
- Mix 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper on a plate.
- Mix 1 egg and 1 tbsp water in a cup.
- Place 1 cup panko bread crumbs on another plate.
- Pat dry the shrimp.
- Heat coconut oil in cast iron skillet to fully submerge shrimp.
- Roll shrimp in flour, dip in egg and roll in bread crumbs.
- Fry shrimp for 1 1/2 – 2 minute (or less).
- Place on wire rack.
Honey Pecan Sauce
- Whisk 3/4 cup honey, 4 tbsp heavy whipping cream and 2 tsp rice vinegar in sauce pan.
- Heat mixture on medium-low heat for 10+ minutes.
- Stir often.
- Add smashed pecans.
- Cook for additional 3 minutes.
Notes
Sauce is amazing!! Would work great on chicken, salmon, pork, sweet potatoes, roasted carrots, brussel sprouts, green beans or ice cream!!!
